Sam Shull

PHPclasses.org has announced that local web developer Sam Shull of JH Specialty, Inc., has won their prestigious Innovator of the Year Award for his numerous contributions during 2009. The PHP Programming Innovator of the Year Award is an initiative organized by PHPClasses.org that aims to distinguish developers that submit solutions deemed most innovative during the course of the year. Competing against developers from around the world, Mr. Shull’s additions to the PHP development community were acknowledged to be the most substantial by his peers.

None of these accolades are by accident, according to John Henry III, President of JH Specialty, Inc., “Sam is a very talented and dedicated developer, and it is great to see him get this recognition from a national group of his peers.”

When asked why he thought his contributions resonated with the development community so strongly, Mr. Shull acknowledged the power of simple solutions, “I think it’s because I found simple ways to accomplish common tasks and then presented them in a simple, well-documented way, so that the ease of my approach was readily apparent and easy to understand.”
